What is a Commercial Notary Public?

The Commercial Notary Public is an auxiliary of commerce that provides small, medium and large companies with legal services to expedite and provide certainty in their commercial business.

He has been invested with Public Mercantile Faith by the Mexican Federal State, through the Executive through the Ministry of Economy, which has the obligation to listen and guide entrepreneurs and businessmen who come to him in the exercise of his function of specialized legal advice, which also drafts and gives legal form to the will expressed by such people or merchants, conferring authenticity in his performance, security and legal certainty to the commercial legal acts or facts formalized or witnessed before his faith, by means of the conformation of public instruments called policies and minutes, exercising the function of auxiliary agent of the commerce that offers an independent professional service, acting also as Expert Appraiser to estimate, quantify and value the goods, services, rights and obligations that are submitted to his consideration; Mediating Agent to transmit and exchange proposals between two or more parties and to advise in the conclusion or adjustment of any contract or agreement of a commercial nature; and Arbitrator at the request of the parties, in the solution of controversies derived from acts.
