In addition, he is also Former Vice-President of the management board of the “Colegio de Corredores Públicos of the State of Jalisco”. With more than 30 years of experience, his main practice focuses on Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Banking and Finance, Public Trust and Intellectual Property. Focused on the management of cross-border and capital markets transactions, proceeding with mergers and acquisitions on acquiring companies, joint ventures, securities, stocks, assets and intangible property or strategic assets; as well as corporate restructurings and advising to distressed entities with a solid foundation in Corporate Law and the structuring of financial transactions and different kinds of contracts.
Fernando Hernández Gómez, has more than 30 years of experience in the Tequila Industry and its regulation. He advises large transnational companies in the Tequila Industry in Mexico.
He regularly provides legal advice to large multinationals in M&A deals involving several jurisdictions including: USA, UK, Canada, Spain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Luxemburg, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Japan, Hong Kong, among others.
He has specialized on the Real Estate Practice, advising foreign investors and real estate promotors in Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita and Cancún. He has represented acquiring companies of land for future industrial developments, housing, hotel projects, hospitals and businesses.
He has advised and represented companies on venture capital, lending and structuring transactions and provided legal counseling mainly for banking institutions in order to confirm the legal feasibility of the transaction to be executed by the banking institutions and their clients. Such transactions may be related to loan and securities transactions, preparing the corresponding agreements and legal documents.
He has participated in numerous transactions representing other financial institutions as well as borrowers in different industry sectors and helped structure the financing for the largest covered exhibition center in Latin America and governmental loans.
Mr. Hernández Gómez has participated in a variety of Pro-Bono projects mainly focused in raising funds to provide scholarships to students of academic excellence, who do not have sufficient economic resources to study Law or other professions.
Mr. Hernández Gómez holds a Law Degree (JD) with honors from Universidad Panamericana, Campus Guadalajara. He has a Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Business Administration and postgraduate studies in Tax Law, Contract Law and Corporate Law from Universidad Panamericana, Campus Guadalajara.
