Martín Arias Cuevas is an Associate of VAHG, in the Intellectual Property Law Practice, where he specializes on a regular basis, in planning and advising domestic and foreign clients on strategies for the protection of Intellectual and Industrial Property rights, such as copyrights, distinctive signs, registration of trademark agreement contracts and license of use. He has experience providing counseling in matters of Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications, Collective Rights Management, in addition to leading several proceedings before different intellectual property offices, including Mexico, the United States of America USA, the European Union and other countries around the world. Martín has also participated in legal actions in order to prevent intellectual property rights violations, protecting and preserving the rights of our clients.
Martín has more than 5 years of experience and continuous practice in the field, and as part of the team he has supported as an Assistant Translator besides the Intellectual Property tasks, where he has participated in more than 450 certified translations from English to Spanish and vice versa. Martín also focuses part of his practice on legalization procedures and Apostilles within the firm.
Martín graduated from Universidad Panamericana, Campus Guadalajara, with a Law Degree (JD) in 2022. In addition, he holds a Master’s Degree (LL.M.) in Industrial Property, Copyrights and New Technologies from Universidad Panamericana, Campus Aguascalientes, in 2024. He also completed the Diploma in Intellectual Property by ANADE, Jalisco Chapter, within the framework of the XXV Updating Diploma for Corporate Lawyers, in 2023.
