Miguel has a Law Degree (JD) from the Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara Campus as well as a Degree in Public Accounting from the same University. He has a Specialty in Contract Law from the Universidad Panamericana Campus Guadalajara, and a Diploma in International Taxes from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (Mexico City).

Miguel is also a graduate of the AD-2 Senior Management Program by the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa. In addition, he has studied different seminars and programs, such as, Corporate Governance Seminar given by the Instituto Mexicano de Mejores Prácticas Corporativas, Programs of Councils in Action by the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa and Training Program of Directors in Administration by the Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Miguel currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors or Committees of numerous companies in the financial, real estate, hardware, agribusiness, commercial and services sectors.
